Dr. Tamara Ulibarri

Dr. Tamara UlibarriTamara is a principal member of Sandia National Laboratories' technical staff where she leads projects and maintains her own research program. Currently she is investigating the effect of materials aging on mechanical properties via accelerated aging studies. Her research efforts are in the area of materials aging and degradation and the development of deterrent materials. This work focuses on how these changes will effect the function of materials in weapon systems.

Among a distinguished list of honors, Tamara is most recently featured in the Changing Faces of Science. Tamara is also a mentor and instructor for minority youth. "If I can look back and feel that I have accomplished something that impacted the safety of our nation or positively influenced a child, I will consider my life a success."
