This exhibit also saluted many many future Hispanic leaders in Science and Technology:

  • Eric Martinez
    Eric Martinez is in his fourth year at the University of Oklahoma studying chemical engineering. Eric works for the University's Minority Engineering Program and tutors other Hispanic students in calculus and chemistry.
  • Karen E. Browne
    Karen E. Browne is in her senior year studying Environmental Science at New Mexico State University. Her interest is in environmental studies and contamination, clean-up, and environmental impact.
  • Elena Chavez
    Elena Chavez is a sophomore at Harvard University studying math.
  • Victor G. Figueroa-Faria
    Victor G. Figueroa-Faria recently graduated from Turabo University (Puerto Rico) with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Elsi Y. Rodriguez
    Elsi Yasmin Rodriguez is currently a junior pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of South Florida where she conducts research in the area of human factors.
  • Linda Melendres
    Linda Melendres is a senior at Valley High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Since eighth grade Linda has researched the effects of radiation on food-borne bacteria.
  • Kenneth Miguel Armijo
    Kenneth Miguel Armijo is from Sabinal, New Mexico and is a senior at Belen High School. The Albuquerque Kiwanis Club recognized him for a science project entitled "Lumens Temperature and Pollutants."
  • Elizabeth Fernandez
    Elizabeth Fernandez is a senior at St. Pius X High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Last year she received the Bob Finke Award from her school for excellence and persistence in science.
